How do I access my Windows files ("Z-Drive") remotely?

  • Download and install OIT's VPN software from https://software.oit.gatech.edu
  • Connect to the VPN, then
    • For Faculty, map a network drive to
      \\cocwinsrv1.ece.gatech.edu\Users\Faculty\<your_oit_username>
    • For Staff, map a network drive to
      \\cocwinsrv1.ece.gatech.edu\Users\Staff\<your_oit_username>
    • For Students, map a network drive to
      \\ecewinsrv2.ece.gatech.edu\students$\<your_oit_username>
    • For all, replace <your_oit_username> with your GT Account (formerly called "prism") username. If you do not know your GT Account username, follow the link on the passport web page for "I don't know my username".
  • When prompted for a username and password, use the following:
