Printing in GCATT

For Windows 2000 and Windows XP:

  1. Open My Computer (double-click on it)
  2. In the Address bar, type: \\phoebe
  3. In the pop-up box, type your username and password as follows:
    Username: gt-ece\yourNTusername
    Password: corresponding password
  4. You should now see a list of the shared printers; right-click on the one you want to use and select Connect. Follow the prompts.

NOTE: If you are not logged into a computer using your GT-ECE username, unfortunately, you will have to repeat the following every time you reboot or log out of your computer:

  1. Open My Computer (double-click on it)
  2. In the Address bar, type: \\phoebe
  3. In the pop-up box, type your username and password as follows:
    Username: gt-ece\yourNTusername
    Password: corresponding password

The answer is, yes, I can join your machine to the domain and you still keep the Administrator password.

For Windows Legacy:

Printing from older versions of the Windows operating system is no longer supported as these have reached their end of support term by Microsoft. You must upgrade your system to the latest version of Windows.
